Daily Duty metal print by Pat Saunders-White. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist's Description
This is a portrait of my late dog, Moose. He is an Anatolian Shepherd. This breed is 3,000 yrs. old and is from Turkey. Their job is to protect stock from bears, wolves, lions anything that will attack livestock. The very best guardians wear collars with large sharp spikes to prevent them from being grabbed by the throat of predators. He was the best dog I have ever had. He was the second half of my heart.

It has taken over 60 years for me to intellectually understand that to be an artist is not a "job" but a way of living. Similar to breathing, it involuntarily keeps my soul alive. My body of work primarily consists of animals because our natural affinity towards them can elevate the most profound feelings inside us. Animals can launch the heart in many directions.
